UAVs piloted by CAA approved pilots
Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are increasing in popularity – but they aren’t always used safely.
At Boothroyds our drone pilots are CAA approved and carry Basic National UAV Certificate – Small Unmanned Aircraft (BNUC-S) licences. BNUC-S licences must be renewed every 12 months. This means our pilots’ skills are always up-to-date.
Boothroyds use state-of-the-art drones equipped with the latest high definition cameras. The on-board cameras are capable of producing both still and real-time video footage.
We believe Boothroyds is the only investigation company in Europe to employ BNUC-S licenced pilots and to have access to an exceptional range of UAV technology.
And with over 45 years of investigative experience, we also believe you can feel confident using our surveillance drone services to achieve the results you need.
Micro drones and the type of results you can expect
We work with private individuals and companies. We also work with the public sector and in many cases with trading standards officers.
No matter the situation, we can deploy the right drone to meet your needs.
We believe unmanned drones will give your investigation the best chance of success in any situation where traditional surveillance methods would be impractical or costly to apply.
Using UAV drones for surveillance
Picture the scene – a householder in a rural setting suspects a neighbour of animal abuse.
Under normal circumstances it would be difficult for an investigator to arrive on the neighbour’s premises without raising suspicion. A UAV could be deployed to unobtrusively obtain photographic evidence.
Imagine this – organised fly-tippers are active in the dead of night.
Using cars to follow refuse trucks to and from illegal fly tipping locations would be difficult without being spotted. But aerial drones could be used to track the trucks while the investigators remain safe and unobserved.
How would you capture evidence of anti-social behaviour in your area?
In some areas gangs of youths are causing trouble while moving from street to street and co-ordinating their movements by mobile phone. With the vantage offered by an aerial drone the actions of the perpetrators can be monitored, recorded and used in evidence at a later time.
Camera drones can compliment any investigation
With over 30 years investigative experience we know what works and what doesn’t. We know what technology to use, when to use it – and more importantly – how to use it safely and effectively.
